Beacon Lighting is Australia’s leading lighting retailer with over 100 stores across the country. We are proud of our extensive range of fashionable and technologically advanced products and our dedicated store teams who provide our customers with expert and friendly customer service.

As we continue to grow we are looking for a fully qualified A grade Electrician to work in Sydney and the surrounding southern areas.

This is a full time (Monday to Friday) position that involves a range of duties such as maintaining the high standard of in-store product displays; assisting our stores with maintenance activities; undertaking warranty work for the Beacon Lighting product range; and fitting out new stores and refurbishing existing stores (this can include interstate travel for stores in various states).

We are looking for a safety-conscious 'sparky' who, while able to work autonomously, also enjoy supporting our store teams and working with them to achieve the best results.

The successful candidate will therefore possess the following attributes:

• A current A grade electrical license, plus valid driver’s license

• Excellent customer service skills, always being willing to take the 'extra step' and taking pride in the quality of work completed.

• Strong organisational skills and confidence in working with a computer

• A handyperson who is able to complete a wide range of repairs and maintenance work

• A positive “can – do” and enthusiastic approach to your job

• Flexible and adaptable to meet changing circumstances, and calm and resourceful when dealing with competing priorities

• Have a focus on productivity, achieving great results in a timely manner

• Previous experience in a retail environment or residential work will be a distinct advantage
