Total Generators is a privately owned and innovative Power Generation business that offers Rental/ Purchase/ Mechanical Service Agreements across Mining and other industries. This business is committed to customers with power needs 24/7 days a week and our culture reflects a dedicated commitment to reliability and consistency.
This role is based at Cloncurry in North West Queensland which is West of Mt Isa, Queensland. The successful candidate will lead a multi skilled team supporting power utilities, key mine sites and temporary camps. The role suits a specialist person who has a talent for fault finding and engine diagnostics and motivating people. You must hold an Australian Driver License, Standard 11 inductions and recognised Heavy Diesel Trade Certification. All required at interview stage.
Opportunities include Diesel and GAS powered engines with known brands including Cummins, CAT, Perkins and Scania. You are also obtaining a rare chance to work in the power industry where safety, responsibility and professional conduct are paramount. Key responsibilities (in summary) include job planning, engine servicing, engine diagnostics, fault finding on engines, minor repairs, engine tuning up to 50 Litre capacity.
This role will suit a person who has some customer service skills, a sense of urgency and enjoys diesel engines. We offer a specialist environment where you would work with mechanical and electrical equipment of various makes and models that are stream lined to suit the highest safety and site compliances nationally. Our Workshop is located in Cloncurry.
After Hours and remote work across the North West Queensland area is part of the role.
Fully maintained Service Vehicle, Mobile Phone for the position is offered. Uniforms and specialist tooling are provided. Hourly Wage range between $50 - $60 per hour, plus allowances and solid job security.
We are a service oriented business which means, we never close. We operate an after hours on call roster service with immediate client response for which this role is part of. Typically this is one week in three and can involve emergency night repairs/ resets or change overs.
Qualification and experience with the Cummins QSX15 to KTA50 Engines will be highly regarded, any generator experience will guarantee an interview.
