Bankstown District Sports Club (BDSC) is one of NSW's largest and leading reputable clubs and is a proud supporter of the local community. With over 65,000 members and 500 employees, Bankstown Sports provides a diverse venue for everyone.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the key focus of this role is carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance plus project work and play a role in the successful operations and maintenance of the clubs 6 facilities.

We are seeking to appoint a well-presented, adaptable individual who excels at communication and exudes professionalism. The successful candidate will be responsible for general plumbing maintenance, sewer chokes, hot water system maintenance and upkeep of gas commercial kitchen equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

·         Demonstrating our core values – Working Together, Community, Continuous Improvement and Exceptional Customer Service

·         Supporting the effective day-to-day operation of all BDSC spaces and facilities

·         Ensuring best practice service delivery across all BDSC venues

·         Providing regular reports and inspection programs and implementing effective resolutions in accordance with BDSC policies

·         Leadership in the concept of ‘total ownership’ when delivering reactive maintenance

Essential Criteria:

·         A driver’s licence (essential)

·         Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously

·         Hold a current NSW Plumbing/Draining Trade License

·         Gas Fitters License

·         Strong written and oral communication skills

·         Effective time management and organisational skills

·         Strong coordination skills and computing literacy

·         Immaculate presentation and service

·         Commercial building maintenance experience

·         Must be flexible working outside core business hours

Desirable Criteria:

·         Water Blasting and CCTV experience

·         Experience in gas appliance servicing

·         EWP Certificate

·         White Card

·         Confined spaces ticket

·         General building repairs experience

In addition, a flexible approach to work is also required, with availability covering day cycle Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and has the ability to work on call
