Due to rapid business growth, we are currently seeking committed Refrigeration Service Technicians to join the expanding Service Department to perform work within suburban Melbourne.

Reporting into the Service Manager, this position will be responsible for the successful provision of technical expertise in domestic air-conditioning whilst providing an exceptional standard of customer service.

The incumbent will be provided with all necessary tools of the trade, including uniform, PPE, company vehicle and mobile phone.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Following plans and specifications to install, commission, service and
  maintain equipment;
• Fault-finding, diagnosing, servicing and repairing of equipment;
• Installing, repairing or replacing parts such as compressors, motors,
  condensers, evaporators, air filters, switches, controls and gauges;
• Installing and connecting piping to refrigeration systems;
• Checking that parts are installed, lined up and fit properly;
• Testing systems for leaks and then filling them with refrigerant
  according to relevant standards and regulations.

Knowledge and skills required:

• Trade qualified Refrigeration Mechanic with full servicing registrations teamed with previous demonstrated industry experience;
• Must possess valid full ARCTICK License – Domestic and Commercial Air-conditioning, Electrical Licence (D Permit), Red Card, WWCC and drivers licence;
• Current Gas Licence (B Class), Elevated Platform and Confined space clearances desirable;
• Well developed fault-finding and diagnostic skills and a proven ability to effectively operate autonomously and unsupervised;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organisational capabilities teamed with a strong customer service ethos.
