The company is a German specialist in the manufacture of solid-liquid separation technology equipment for the process industries. They are looking for an experienced Service Technician to work with a small team to help support existing clients. The location is Sydney - North Shore based.
The person: You will be a qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician with at least 5 years work experience that is able to work with minimal supervision.
You may have some experience with industrial centrifuges (not essential) and the relevant experience to carry out the following tasks unsupervised:
- Preparing drawing, plans and designs for our mechanical equipment under the direction of mechanical engineer
- Complete maintenance of machines and overall plant supervision and inspection
- Estimating costs of large projects in the water sector whilst selecting relevant equipment to provide a tailored solution.
- Select & operate required tools and equipment
- Assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems
- Completion of complex technical designs and diagrams using analysed data.
- Hand on repair and maintenance of mechanical process lines including regular checks on components.
- Commissioning (testing) project onsite with client.
- Working alongside other Mechanical Engineers on our team to ensure specifications and regulations are met on a case by case basis.
- You must be prepared to travel on a regular basis.
- You must be an Australian / NZ citizen or permanent resident.
Remuneration: You will be paid a competitive salary package (salary, super, site allowances and fully maintained company vehicle).
Report to: You will report directly to the After Sales / Service Manager.
