Hamilton Island in the heart of the tropical Whitsundays is Australia's favourite island holiday destination. As the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, our safe waters, spectacular marine life and relaxed island lifestyle is a magnet for tourists and holiday makers from around the world. Our renowned day spa, Spa Wumurdaylin, offers a range of specialised holistic spa, massage and skincare therapie.  The spa has eleven treatment rooms including three couples’ rooms, two vichy shower rooms and two rain shower rooms.

Spa Wumurdaylin currently has vacancy for an experienced and qualified Spa Therapist. 

As a Spa Therapist in our professional and experienced team you will be able to hone your technical and personal skills whilst developing your professional career with the support of your team members and Manager. In this role you will provide a range of treatments to our guests after conducting assessments of their medical conditions and preparing your treatment rooms. As a reliable and motivated team member you will take pride in your work, maintain the Spa presentation and ensure sufficient stock is available.  You will be knowledgeable with our products and able to meet team and individual sales targets.

About the Role

• Provide all treatments on the Spa menu of services
• Have a strong and thorough knowledge of all products
• Meet weekly and monthly retail targets 
• Perform each treatment as per treatment booking 
• Conduct soft tissue body massages
• Use essential oils, herbal and mineral therapies 
• Make assessment of guests physical condition
• Clean treatment room before and after each guest 
• Ensure sufficient stocks of appropriate linen, robes, and slippers are available 
• Assist in the preparation of baths and other body treatments
• Keep all internal and external areas of the Spa clean

About You 

• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong desire to be part of a united team and community
• Excellent attention to detail, as well as impeccable grooming and presentation. 
• Cert IV Massage and/or Diploma in Remedial Massage and/or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Excellent understanding of the spa, health and well-being industry
• Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
• An current Open Driver Licence
• Extra qualifications and experience in Reiki or other specific treatments will be highly regarded
