The opportunity: Electrical Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team based out of Penrith, Sydney. With experience in Project Management in the electrical commercial construction space, we are offering an excellent career development opportunity in a supported structure that will see you manage a broad range of projects keeping you stimulated and engaged.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager your typical activities and responsibilities will consist of:
- Overseeing the delivery of multiple projects from inception to implementation and completion
- Reporting of financial and construction milestones to Directors and State Manager
- Maintain rapport and ensure effective communication with clients, suppliers and Apex employees as key point of contact
- Deliver high quality solutions within schedule and budget
- Actively manage risks
- Manage relevant documentation and financial reporting
- Assist Apex team in preparation of tenders
- Managing contract variations and the sourcing and ordering of materials
- Manage labour, subcontractors and employees’ activities
Skills and experience
- A minimum of 3- 5 years experience as a Project Manager in the electrical construction space
- Electrical trade background with electrical license and experience ‘on tools’ preferred
- Commercial construction experience
- Solid technical knowledge of the construction process
- An understanding of electrical construction project programming and scheduling
- Attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft office and other computer-based software/applications
- Effective communicator
- Efficient, organised and independent
- Demonstrable leadership skills
