About the opportunity
Due to growth WesTrac is currently seeking experienced and team orientated Truck Mechanics to join our Sydney branch. The successful applicant will be required to perform repairs, maintenance and inspections on a range of Caterpillar Powered On-Highway Trucks in a fast paced work environment.
A high level of technical skill and expertise to carry out these duties in a customer focused manner is required - the Branch is experiencing significant growth so a strong drive, motivation and direction to succeed and be able to work in a safety conscious environment is important to us.
After reasonable service and tenure, the position will also present the opportunity to branch out and gain experience in construction equipment as well as academic support through the nationally accredited Westrac Institute
WE HAVE MOVED! Our Branch has just relocated to a brand new state of the art facility in Casula.
What we're looking for
As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:
- Proven experience in a similar hands on role
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Possess strong Caterpillar On High Way Trucks Product Knowledge (preferred but not mandatory)
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
- Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices and environment
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
Candidates will have a proactive approach to work with demonstrated experience working in high performing teams and a methodical approach to problem solving.
