ASV Sales & Service Pty Ltd is the largest distributor of  ASV Compact Equipment in Australia, our head office is based in Newcastle and we have branches on the Sunshine Coast and Perth.

Our product range includes the number one compact track loader in Australia, the ASV Posi-Track Loader, as well as  Eurocomach Excavators & Fecon products and a broad range of related attachments. Our business is rapidly expanding, with additional product lines scheduled for introduction in the near future. In order to meet the demand of this growth, we are tendering the position of Diesel Plant Mechanic/Service Technician to join our service team.

The Diesel Plant Mechanic is a critical role in our business. As part of our hands-on product support team, this individual is responsible for providing our customer base with prompt and professional service for their earthmoving equipment.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of compact construction equipment, as well as pre-delivery of new and used machines. This role will involve a combination of workshop and possible onsite field service.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following skills and criteria:

  • Trade Certificate
  • Sound mechanical knowledge
  • Strong diagnostic & troubleshooting ability
  • Attention to detail, pride in workmanship
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Trustworthy and timely
  • A current drivers license


The ideal candidate will also have these criteria:

  • Proven fitter with experience in repairing  heavy vehicle and plant equipment
  • ASV Posi-Track Loader experience would be an advantage
  • MR (or above) drivers license preferred
  • Experience working on hydraulics and/or electronics
  • Basic welding skills


Remuneration package will reflect experience, qualifications, and job skills. This is a full time role from Monday to Friday, with paid overtime available at times.
