Our client, based in the northern Gold Coast area is a long-standing and successful company that specialises in glass manufacture and coatings for clients Australia-wide. The company has experienced substantial growth and is seeking a skilled and experienced Paint Manager to lead the team in the spray painting and coatings section of the business.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team, coordinating paint schedules, inventory management and improving systems and processes within the work section. We are seeking a skilled Manager that is hands on and able to guide and mentor the team to work to best practices. Ideally, it would suit a person highly experienced in the spray painting or automotive paint and panel industry seeking a unique career change.

About you:

• Highly experienced in spray painting
• Prior experience in a team leader / foreman / management role
• Experience within the glass/glazing or automotive industry highly regarded
• Strong leadership ability with the skills to direct, train and develop staff
• Systemised approach to manufacturing
• Good level of reporting, email and computer skills
• Committed to continuous improvement across manufacturing and systems development
• Excellent communication skills
• A strong team player
