If you have a trade qualification in carpentry or joinery and enjoy working with a diverse team of specialists in their field, you will be a Workshop Technician with skills in carpentry-joinery, fabrication of components and custom built assemblies, and experienced in working as part of a team to deliver high quality exhibition interaction based products, but it is your ability to trouble shoot problems within time constraints that will ensure your success with this role.
Trained in carpentry or joinery with exposure to small machinery or the insight with electronics, this role requires a diverse knowledge and all skills are welcomed into this role. The real ‘must haves’, would be the maintenance TA background, CNC Router experience, current drivers licence, and working with vulnerable people accreditation.
The ‘desirables’, is the ability to create, troubleshoot, analyse and resolve issues. Experience with installing, demobilising exhibits or museums both locally and internationally would be advantageous. Finally your ability to work autonomously and able to prioritise to meet some tight deadlines, would be an advantage.
