Diesel Fitter/Mechanic

• Must be trade qualified diesel fitter/mechanic

• Immediate full time employment available

• Must be prepared to work irregular hours if necessary

• Take ownership of our income producing assets

• Must be a team player

• Must understand that if an income producing piece of equipment is down that this takes priority no matter what

• Would consider a contractor if you are set up this way

• be prepared to get on a machine and operate if needed

Ellis Consolidated is a market leader in the supply and operation of specialist equipment associated with the road rehabilitation and maintenance industries.  Our work is spread throughout Queensland with our head office and workshop at Narangba on the north side of Brisbane.  We have a new and fully equipped workshop. You will undertake all preventative and reactive maintenance activities, some of which are done on various constructions sites while the remainder is done in the workshop.

We are recruiting for a trade qualified diesel fitter/mechanic to join our team and take control of our maintenance activities. This is an important position within our business and reports directly to the Operations Manager

Essential Qualification

• Be a trade qualified 

Preferred Skills

• Have experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant and equipment

• Ability to effectively diagnose and rectify problems

• Experience with electrics, hydraulics

• Knowledge of Wirtgen equipment would be highly regarded

• Able to record all service work and plan repairs to fit in with our daily operations

The majority of our work is in the Brisbane and surrounding area though occasional travel will be required.  Applicants must be prepared to work variable hours and shifts, including after hours call outs and weekends in order to meet the needs of the business.  Penalty rates, uniforms and a fully maintained vehicle are provided as part of the package.
