A Global Civil Construction Materials Testing organisation is currently looking for keen and driven candidates with a trades or civil construction background to come on board and be trained as Concrete or Soil Technicians for their branch based in the Nowra.
You will be rewarded with formal training qualifications, a take home work vehicle down the track and an opportunity to become permanent with genuine career advancement opportunities in a global organisation.
The normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm. There is an expectation of overtime and weekend work, for those hungry for the extra hours and penalty rates. The hourly rate will start from $27+/hr pending previous experience.
Expected duties:
- Preparing concrete or soils samples for testing
- Following testing methods and recording clear and concise results
- Mostly lab work but opportunities to go out onsite and learn varying aspects of field work and sample extraction
- Weekend work and overtime may be required
Successful candidates will:
- Previous experience is highly regarded but not essential
- Have a trades, civil or construction background
- Drivers licence – manual preferred
- White card
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
