The Company
Lift Industries is a Currumbin based engineering business predominantly servicing south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales.
We specialise in the supply of truck bodies, elevated work platforms (EWP's), vehicle loading cranes (VLC's), and a number of related engineering, service, repair, and auto electrical services. Lift Industries is certified to ISO9001:2015 and operates in accordance with ISO4801:2001.
Position
We have vacancy for a highly motivated workshop foreman who is capable of leading our team of experienced tradespeople. It is essential that you are well organised, have a high level of initiative and can anticipate the requirements of the work in progress to ensure a smooth flow of work and the elimination of rework.
Responsibilities
- Operate compliantly
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers and staff
- Implement the work in progress in accordance with the scope of supply
- Efficiently manage the day to day operation of the workshop
- Management of client assets
- Ensure production deadlines are in line with delivery requirements
- Conduct quality inspections, complete checklists and sign off
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping and traffic management in the workshops and yard
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with OH&S requirements
Requirements
- An mechanical trade, technical or engineering background would be highly regarded
- Experience in a workshop supervisory role
- Customer service orientated
- Excellent communication skills and ability to converse on all levels
- Strong organisational skills and problem solving ability
- Ability to meet deadlines and forward planning skills
- Strong Computer / Administration skills with good attention to detail
- Unrestricted driver's license
- Forklift, heavy duty truck licence and first aid certificate an advantage
This position is salary based and a competitive package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
