These are FIFO positions with an 8/6 or 14/14 roster depending on the location. This role will suit an experienced technician who can demonstrate their experience around:

  • All facets of mechanical fire system service (sprinkler/ deluge and other suppression systems and pumpsets)
  • Routine inspections and maintenance
  • Reactive repairs
  • Minor installations and project works

You will be customer orientated and solutions focused. You will assist in growing sales for the business to increase market share.

Description

Responsibilities

  • Identify, install, service, diagnose, and repair mechanical fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance Chubb Fire & Security procedures and processes and to relevant Australia Standards
  • Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment, in accordance with Chubb Fire & Security procedures and processes and to the relevant Australia Standard
  • Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on equipment in an accurate and legible and timely manner, using systems including; paper dockets and or hand-held technology
  • Participate in stocktakes and be responsible for inventory management
  • Manage and maintain all assigned company property, including documents, tools, equipment, vehicles, product, etc
  • Effectively manage available time and resources, and be proactive in problem solving and troubleshooting, before engaging others.
  • Maximise efficiency's via route planning, time management, stock management, and service delivery via handheld technology.
  • Report work progress and performance by completing productivity / key performance indicator (KPI) reports
  • Comply with all company and customer (site) policies, procedures, and processes

Profile

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Min 3 year's experience doing mechanical fire service, install, programming, repairs and maintenance
  • Preferred: Trade qualification (Sprinkler fitter, Plumbing) or relevant industry experience
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
  • Previous FIFO experienced preferred
