The Company
Specialised Cleaning Eco Vehicles (SCEV) was founded in 2011 and is currently operating in West Melbourne. SCEV is a machinery repairs and sales company, bringing together a fully qualified team of technicians from mechanical, automotive electrical, fitting & turning and engineering backgrounds. SCEV is highly regarded within the industry for delivering high-quality and innovative service solutions. SCEV maintains its integrity to our clientele through the maintenance and upkeep of our membership with the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce.
The Role
Reporting to the Service Manager the responsibilities of the Service Technician will include, but not limited to:
- General repairs and maintenance to commercial cleaning equipment
- Mostly mechanical, electrical and hydraulic related issues
- Basic electrical repairs to vacuums, steam cleaners, scrubbers, sweepers etc.
- Soft wiring, test and tagging, diagnostic & trouble shooting
The Candidate
To ensure your success in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Relevant trade qualification or extensive service technician experience
- Experience working on diesel engines, welding and hydraulic knowledge highly regarded
- Previous general mechanical skills
- Testing & Tagging license (not essential, can be provided)
- Current valid Driver's Licence
- Current Police Check
- Forklift licence is ideal but not essential
- The ability to work well unsupervised and have good problem solving skills
