Job description:
Our Mayfield, Newcastle site currently requires a Maintenance Supervisor – Mechanical to join their close-knit team. You will be responsible for the management of the mechanical maintenance team and their endeavour to maintain the assets of the Newcastle AustubeMills site to a reliable standard. Coordinating the emergency repair of mechanical asset during breakdowns you must also manage the systems and processes that direct mechanical maintenance task assignment, labour allocation and resource utilisation. You control the mechanical maintenance spend on the Newcastle Austube Mills site and will work hand-in-hand with the Maintenance Superintendent to monitor and manage this aspect of the repair and maintenance budget.
To be successful in this position you will need to have previous experience leading and engaging employees to deliver exceptional results, have a quality and customer focus and possess strong problem-solving ability. You will be willing respond to after-hours call outs, have relevant tertiary engineering or trades qualifications and the ability to set and maintain priorities. You will be computer literate with strong communication skills. Applicants who have experience within a heavy manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
