About the business and the role
Denton Engineering & Hydraulics is a general engineering machine shop, specialising in precision machining, thermal arc metal spraying and hydraulic repairs.
We are looking for a trade qualified, experienced 1st class metal machinist to help us keep production on time and maintain our high standards.
- Must be competent on manual lathes (medium/large) and milling machines.
- Be able to consistently achieve fine tolerances of 0.01mm on a wide range of components
- Operation of horizontal and/or vertical borers would be advantageous.
Our work is varied and provides the opportunity to take on a wide range of challenges.
The right candidate must be a motivated self starter with at least 5 years RECENT post trade experience.
The remuneration package will be negotiated in line with the skills and experience you bring to the role.
Casual probationary period applies.

- turning
- milling
- driling
- boring
- fitting
Skills and experience
Essential requirements for Fitter/Machininst - 1st Class Machininst are:
- Australian qualification or equivalent
- experience on manual lathes and milling machines(medium & large)
Required - Metal Machining: recent 5 years
