BCI FURNITURE PTY LTD is a family business established 27 years supplying contract furniture - Seating, Tables and Accessories - to Public Spaces across Australia:

  • Retail spaces: Foodcourts, Malls

We design, manufacture, source, import and supply/install contract-quality, fit-for-purpose furniture for these Projects.

About the role

  • The role primarily involves working in our factory in Berwick with the existing team in the machining and assembly of joinery (furniture) items – particularly banquette seating, benches, waste bins, planters, upholstery frames, etc.
  • Occasional sitework is involved, local and interstate; any required travel / accommodation is fully provided by BCI
  • We have a strong team environment answering to the Joinery Team Leader to meet deadlines with attention to detail and pride in workmanship

 

  • A current medium-rigid truck licence / experience in furniture delivery may be an advantage – for delivery of furniture (mostly within Melbourne metro, some country Victoria and occasional interstate) and pickup of componentry within Melbourne metro – if our regular driver is unavailable

Skills and experience

  • The successful applicant will be qualified and experienced in cabinetmaking and/or shopfitting
  • Experience working with laminates, corian, and/or veneer would be beneficial
  • Experience in furniture upholstery may be an advantage
  • A valid Forklift licence would be beneficial
  • A White Card will be required when site work is necessary
