Programmed Skilled Workforce are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist who is looking for a permanent full time position working with a leading engineering company based in Perth’s southern suburbs.
This position will see the successful applicant working in a challenging yet rewarding environment alongside a highly qualified team and company that prides themselves on commitment to quality, integrity, innovation and teamwork.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Creating programs using the latest programming software, reviewing tooling and discussing set ups with the team
- Assist with Jig and fix designs
- Review and estimate machinist times for complicated processes, follow programming procedures and ensure programs are saved to the server
- Machining CNC Lathe, CNC Horizontal/Vertical Borer and Milling machines
- Carrying out inspections, drawing specification and samples in a variety of steel
- Ensuring machines are running, calibrating and inspections are completed regularly
- Identify safe and efficient work methods and ensure work area is maintained to standards
To be successful you will have:
- A Trade Qualification and/or relevant experience in Engineering
- Experience using MasterCam 2017 and/or GibbsCam
- Self-managed accountability to perform and set a high standard when completing tasks
- Initiative to improve conditions and processes that can identify or benefit work or tasks
- Dedication to your work, ensuring no aspect is neglected and accept responsibility for outcomes
