About the business
JPJ Audio, a leading supplier of audio equipment is looking for an experienced cable builder to join our Mascot (NSW) team.
About the role
The successful applicant will fabricate and modify electronic assemblies and cabling as required, using industry standard practices, according to schematic drawings or other documentation generated by engineers to make assemblies available when needed.
The position is part-time with a possibility of transitioning to fulltime in the future.
All applicants must
- have experience working in cable manufacturing and/or assembly
- have experience soldering to high specifications / fine detailed work
- have experience working in a fast paced production environment
- be available for an immediate start
Responsibilities will include
- Liaising with engineering & production support personnel
- Undertake assembly & manufacturing tasks as directed
- Maintain a neat and tidy working environment
Skills and experience
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of audio, video and RF systems advantageous.
- Knowledge of the methods, materials, and tools used in the fabrication, construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical and signal cabling used in modern audio/visual and communications systems.
- Ability to read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
- Ability to use mechanical tools such as soldering iron, drill press, electric screwdrivers, dremel, etc
- Ability to analyse and design simple analogue and digital circuits
As a minimum the applicant should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related industry and possess both written and spoken English communication skills.
