The General Maintenance Handyperson will assist the General Manager in ensuring the presentation of the facility is kept at the highest possible standard by overseeing the upkeep of maintenance items across a selection of areas. You will take pride in your work, have great attention to detail and be able to manage your time effectively. Some of the duties would include –

• Completing minor internal repairs in units

• Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting needs

• Removal of rubbish and ensuring all communal areas are tidy and well-maintained

• Maintaining quality of court surfaces

• Upkeep of gardens and centre grounds

• Dealing with contractors and inducting them on-site

Selection Criteria

 Develop strong relationships with all patrons and staff and contribute to a positive team dynamic at all times.

 Sporting Facility experience, or be willing to obtain experience

 Able to work independently and self-motivate.

 Be able to make necessary decisions in the absence of General Manager and other management staff

 Responsible for contributing to a positive safety culture at the centre and are required to eliminate hazards and report concerns to management

 Be flexible to work a variety of hours including weekends, early mornings, late nights.
