NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation is the founding division of Australia's largest engineering, mining services and industrial manufacturing organisation, NEPEAN. For over 40 years, NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation has built up an elite design & project management team who understands the diverse nature of engineering.
Nepean Engineering is currently seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Labourer to join the team at their Narellan (NSW) plant. In this position the Labourer will tend to manual or automated equipment in the production/fabrication process.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- General Factory/Production Duties;
- Assist Fabrication Team;
- Operate Machinery;
- Inspect Products to ensure Quality;
You will have a strong sense of ownership and accountability and want to work for an innovative team where customer service and quality is the main focus. You will also:
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- be able to work effectively in a Manual Handling work environment;
- be responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of designated workplace;
- be a team player;
- have a background in labouring within mining or manufacturing industry;
…A current forklift licence and overhead gantry is desirable but not essential.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate should be a self-starter, reliable, punctual, and a team player who is familiar with using safe working methods.
Because of the size, scale and schedule of the projects, there will be a requirement to work additional [overtime] hours to ensure their completion.
