MY client is a fourth generation family company with offices in Sydney and in Melbourne. They are renowned for looking after their team. They manufacture and engineer a range of specialist products that are distributed throughout Australia and overseas.
The role:
Based in Alexandria, the role has three key coordination functions - post sales, service and repairs, reception & parts counter sales. The successful candidate will become the point of contact for colleagues and customers alike, by keeping schedules, documentation and information.
Responsibilities of the role include;
Post sales Coordination
- Coordinate internal logistics from order received to order delivered
- Input purchase orders, sales orders and invoices in ERP system where required ensuring all stock items are available for order to be fulfilled
- Coordinate dispatch to customer or site - if being delivered to site - liase with site manager regarding delivery scheduling in crane lifts where required
- Help maintain control over inventory and ensure timely replacement of stock to ensure continuous production in factory and spare parts availability
- Provide support to team in regards to the company’s new ERP system - full training will be provided. (you will be 1 or 3 fully trained people in office)
- Provide support to the sales team by inputting purchase orders and invoices into new ERP system
Service Department Coordination
- Coordinate contract and breakdown service scheduling with clients and service technicians
- Coordinate service calendar and advise technicians of jobs
- Receive service reports from service technicians and input data into company MYOB system
- Invoice customers for service jobs
- Support Service Manager as and when required
Reception and over the counter sales of spare parts
- Answer phones and directing of phone calls
- Over the counter and over the phone sales of ironing equipment
- Spare parts sales including identifying, picking and sending to customer
- Preparing quotes and invoices as required
The person:
We are seeking an experienced and organised person to join our team.
* Must have outstanding communication/computer skills
* Experienced in coordinating trades and services
* Able to provide necessary support to the sales and service team
* This is an exciting and busy new role that requires someone with good organisation skills and a can do attitude
* Strong understanding of MYOB desirable but not essential
* Ability to meet deadlines and organise work priorities
* Demonstrate a flexible and “can do” attitude
* Experience working in a similar support/coordination role in a trades or manufacturing environment
