We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Manager to join our team at one of our largest Retail Precincts in West of Melbourne. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrated significant Security, operational, management & client liaison experience preferably in a high profile/retail setting.

 


The overall functions of this role are:

  • Working closely with the Guest Services Manager to achieving a high level of client satisfaction
  • Assisting the client with emergency procedures, in the event of a fire, bomb threat or any other critical incident.
  • Liaising with local Law Enforcement Authorities in relation to security issues, as they impact upon the Centre and its surroundings
  • To be responsible for the efficient day to day coordination,  management and training of staff
  • Ensuring cost effective management of the contract
  • Providing assistance in the monitoring and running of the public rotation system
  • Creation and implementation of rosters
  • Completion of electronic timesheets and any other administrative functions
  • Coordination and completion the necessary documentation in relation to ‘slip and fall’ incidents; security incidents; checklists and all major incidents
  • Attending incidents & providing assistance / advice to the Guest Services Manager
  • Provide continually improvement recommendations
  • Management of weekly / monthly KPI’s requested by the Guest Services Manager
  • Developing long term community and law enforcement partnerships
  • Developing and managing key risk mitigation strategies
  • Demonstrated understanding of current threat environments
  • Previous law enforcement experience would be considered favourably

 To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Proven managerial experience within a Premium Retail Asset or similar environment
  • Current Victorian Security Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate (plus current Defibrillation)
  • Minimum Certificate III or higher in Security Operations required
  • Sound knowledge of the laws relating to arrest, search and trespass and all other legislation relevant to duties of a security professional.
