Bruce Rock Engineering is a quality designer and builder of road transport equipment in the Wheat belt region of Western Australia. This well-established company has continued to grow and expand its business, supplying top class products to its customers throughout Australia.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Foreman to oversee our Assembly / Fitout workshop manufacturing top quality road transport equipment.

As Foreman in our Assembly Workshop you are the vital link between the workshop floor and management.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

- Overall supervision of your assembly team consisting of approximately 8 trades people and apprentices

- Ensuring that all products leaving the workshop conform to the company quality standards.

- Daily liaising with the Operations Manager to ensure work flow and production targets are met.

- Assist with the allocation of staff and resources to enable products to be manufactured on time and on budget.

- Oversee and manage the training of apprentices

- Maintain safe work areas and practices at all times

- Ensure all equipment and machinery are regularly maintained.

- Foster and maintain the company culture at all times

- As a whole, ensure that products are manufactured in a safe, friendly environment, to the highest quality, within time frames and budgets

The successful candidate as a Foreman must possess and be able to demonstrate that they have:

- Trade qualifications as a Mechanic/ Fitter/ Body Builder and experience in a leadership role (Road transport industry experience is highly advantageous) 

- Good problem-solving skills

- An eye for detail and the ability to work to precision

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Must have good time keeping and job recording skills

- Must be an enthusiastic, positive and patient person who takes pride in their work and team results

- Ability to read and evaluate technical drawings, schematics and procedures

- Pass the company drug test

- Provide a current National Police Clearance certificate.

- Current Forklift ticket.

- Hold or obtain a Western Australian drivers license

In addition to the above, other advantageous skills and experience are:

- Experience in a production environment

- Leadership training

- HR or above driver's license

- CN Crane operator's tickets

Remuneration is very competitive, and overtime is readily available

Due to the proximity to Perth, the option of Drive in Drive Out is also available Monday – Friday, plus if required company supplied accommodation is available.
