About The Role
Working with The Civil Construction Repair & Maintenance team to provide a 24/7 breakdown maintenance response and repair service across Sydney Water’s area of operations for the potable/recycled, waste-water and storm-water assets and systems. Help us innovate to meet the challenges of our growing cities.
Duties:
- Maintenance and repair of broken pipes and fittings such as hydrants, valves, manholes
- Experience in pipe laying, plumbing, concreting, steel fixing. is highly regarded
- Minor adjustments to potable/recycled water, waste-water and storm-water mains.
- Clearance of sewer chokes.
- Use of mobile computer and smartphone technologies to complete tasks.
- Participate in a 24/7 shift and overtime roster.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently, whilst providing exceptional customer service and protecting the environment.
About you:
- Must have a White Card
- Current MR License or intend on acquiring this licence upon commencement
- Confined Space Ticket
- Police Check - confidence in ability to pass a National Police Check
- Must pass a Medical upon commencement
- Need to have effective communication skills.
- Satisfactory Computer Skills.
- Demonstrate the required level of literacy and numeracy to complete reports.
- Working in various filed locations daily across the Sydney metro & greater Sydney
- 12 month minimum assignment, overtime & weekend penalty rates apply
