Kelly Services are currently seeking an experienced labourer for a one month contract based in Logan.

This position undertakes waste and recycling recovery, salvage and transport activities, recycling market stocking and pricing, general site maintenance activities, as well as customer assistance activities. The contract will initially be for one month with a possibility of extension. The role will require the successful applicant to be available to work 3-4 rostered shifts per week between Monday - Sunday from 7am to 4pm (therefore must be available to work weekends some weeks and also public holidays).

Duties and Responsibilities -

• Identify and recover items suitable for resale and recycling from customer waste loads and waste transfer bays.
• Assist with the stocking and set up of the Recycling Market.
• Assist Recycling Market and Transfer Station customers with item location, pricing and collection.
• Dismantle, separate and sort recyclable items for resale and recycling.
• Load and transport containers, cages, trailers and truck trays.
• Remove litter from site grounds.
• Install and maintain site machinery, equipment and infrastructure (such as pumps, tanks, pipes, roads, drains, sheds, etc.).
• Monitor, control and direct site traffic and customers.

To be successful for this position, you will:

• Have general labouring/warehousing experience
• Have your own car and hold an open car licence (forklift licence will also be highly regarded)
• Be flexible with when you can work during the week, including weekends
• Be able to provide details of two recent work referees
• Be able to provide your own standard PPE.
