About the Role
Our growing Occupational Hygiene Team has an opening for a high performing professional with one to three years experience, looking to grow their career. The role will involve local and interstate work, as well as fly-in/fly-out work assignments to both onshore and offshore sites, as required.
 
Responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to:

• Field observations and risk assessments of biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic and psychosocial hazards;
• Occupational hygiene monitoring for biological, chemical and physical hazards;
• Producing high quality technical reports and;
• Actively contributing and assisting in our growth.

Ideally, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• 1 - 3 years of technical experience in occupational hygiene practice;
• Experience in conducting risk assessments;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing;
• Australian open manual driver's licence;
• The ability to travel (local and interstate) as required;
• Experience in the resources industry;
• Ability to work independently when needed; and
• Actively pursuing career development towards full AIOH membership.

Qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in occupational hygiene or related science discipline;
• Eligibility for provisional AIOH membership;
• Surface Ventilation Officer or Technician (registered sampler with the Department of Mines, Industry, Regulation and Safety)
• Noise Officer with Department of Mines, Industry, Regulation and Safety is desirable.

You will be working with a small team and will receive ongoing guidance, support, assistance and mentoring from experienced Occupational Hygienists within GHD.
