Who you are
You will be joining our Corporate Affairs team as full-time, 2-year fixed term Environment Advisor. You are aligned with Sydney Airport’s values of integrity and openness; safety and security; excellence; teamwork, creativity and flexibility; and sustainability.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Head of Environment, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of Sydney Airport’s Environmental Management System
- Managing airport wide environmental performance through the implementation of the Tenant Management Strategy, including the environmental auditing program
- Assisting with the implementation of the Airport Environment Strategy and driving continual environmental improvement
What you’ll need to be successful
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- sound knowledge of issues relevant to environmental risk management, environmental management systems, environmental law
- Experience with environmental management frameworks, and monitoring and/or improvement programs that deliver continual environmental improvement
- Experience in dealing with regulators and stakeholders on complex matters
You will be degree qualified in environmental science or similar, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the environmental field within a large, high profile company, consultancy or government department.
