About the Role
Due to a large ongoing portfolio of assessment, remediation and audit assignments, our Contamination Assessment and Remediation Group in Perth has an opening for a high performing contaminated sites professional looking to grow their career within one of the world's largest and most dynamic privately owned professional consulting services.

Our team offers our clients support and solutions relating to contamination issues in the land development, government, petroleum and mining sectors in addition to hazardous materials, acid sulphate soils, waste management; mine closure; acid mine drainage; and air and noise services.

The team includes three WA accredited Contaminated Site Auditors and a large ongoing portfolio of assessment, remediation and audit assignments.

The Environmental Scientist/Engineer role includes the opportunity to develop client relationships, implement assessment and remediation projects from commencement to completion, with the support of our Principal Environmental Consultants and Contaminated Site Auditors. Specifically, the role will include:

  • Project management and technical input on assessment and remediation projects across Western Australia (including management of subcontractors);
  • Managing and delivering high quality field investigations, data management and technical reporting for contaminated site assessments in a high performing team environment;
  • Liaison with other GHD offices and coordinating project resources; and · Working in accordance with the positive safety culture of the team.
The right fit with the group and technical ability will be the top selection criteria, along with your ability to demonstrate the following: 
  • 5+ years' experience in contamination assessment field works and technical report writing;
  • Proficiency in completing and managing contamination related field investigations, data interpretation, conceptual site model development, and reporting; 
  • Bachelor Degree in Environmental Geosciences or Engineering; 
  • Strong communicator and aptitude to business development; ·
  • Cooperation with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge;
  • Ability to work well within a team environment; and 
  • Experience in contaminated site consulting will be seen as a plus.
