The purpose of the Facility Manager (FM) is to deliver facility management and life cycle management to all client properties. Management includes both strategic asset management services and the day to day operations of the portfolio to ensure no unplanned outages. In addition this role supports the National Facility Manager and/or Regional Facility Manager in achieving client outcomes and contributes to innovation initiatives across the portfolio. The control, induction and supervision of Subcontractors and Third Party Suppliers are of utmost importance in managing the risk associated with FM Services.


Key Responsibilities;

  • Manage and control budget and cost expenditure for facilities management and
  • operations
  • Monitor and implement asset management on a daily basis 
  • Manage reactive maintenance via the help desk function, analyse data to ensure attendance and rectification times are met
  • Network FM - monthly branch contact to build a relationship with the Branch Manager
  • Conduct Property Condition Audits and ensure resulting documentation, images and other inspection data is captured and uploaded
  • Review and approve quotes, invoices and purchase orders within delegated authority
  • Management of onsite activities for all FM work orders and FM minor works to ensure delivery to scope and plan
  • Reporting, investigating and closing out incident reports. 
  • Conduct and document client meetings with appropriate workstream leaders and Head Contractors
  • Responsible for recording and maintaining a key register primarily for those Properties where there is a specific on-site facility management presence.

Key Requirements; 

  • Client relationship experience with a solid focus on customer service
  • Knowledge of one major core area, facility management or corporate real estate
  • Strong administration and PC skills (word, excel)
  • Strong contractor management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications preferred and a willingness to undertake further study in Facility Management is required
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Self-motivated and flexible
