About the position
Reporting to the COO Project Marketing and leading a small team of analysts, the Senior Research Manager is responsible for contributing to Oliver Hume's competitive advantage in the market by providing data management, research analysis and reporting services to key stakeholders include: clients, marketing, business development/sales managers and the National Head of Research. The identification and presentation of market and consumer insights in support of strategy development, business and brand development are key to this role.
Duties include:
- Database management: database architecture and integration allowing for sophisticated analysis and management of key economic indicators
- Process and systems improvements to drive effectiveness, efficiencies and data quality
- Supporting digital transformation initiatives
- Report preparation (bespoke and standard) and in collaboration with National Head of Research
- Research operations management e.g. work allocation, standard and adhoc reports etc.
- Presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Leveraging and communicating research insights in support of business development/value add initiatives
- Research Team leadership and development
The Successful Applicant
In order to be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Economics, Data Science, Statistics or other relevant discipline.
- Strong IT skill set e.g. Power BI or other data visualisation tools, VBA, Excel, Power Query, MS Office - Excel, Powerpoint, Word
- Experience in SQL, Python or R Languages preferred
- Experience in working with large datasets and multiple systems/platforms e.g. Salesforce, GIS, OneMap, ABS, REIV etc. and data warehouse/architecture
- Demonstrated ability and polish in writing research reports, identifying trends, drawing insights in support of business and strategy development
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of research methodologies and analytics
- Exceptional verbal and presentation skills
- Previous experience in a comparable research role
- Experience and/or an understanding of the real estate industry preferable
- A collaborative work style and enjoy team leadership and development.
