For over 50 years, Meriton has been designing and building award-winning apartments in the best possible locations, with more than 70,000 apartments to our name across Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
In addition to our property development activities, we also provide property and building management services for more than 40 major residential and mixed-use buildings. As our business grows, we have an ongoing need for outstanding Residential Building Managers.
Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the overall running and maintenance of residential apartment complexes. This is a varied role with a diverse range of challenging responsibilities dealing with tenants, owners and contractors on a daily basis. The Building Manager is involves all facets of property and building management, including the following:
- Advertising and leasing apartments
- Organising inspections and maintenance
- Building presentation and facilities management
- Acting as first point of contact for all tenants/owners
- Conflict resolution and handling problems in a timely manner
- Ensuring contractors fulfil obligations, ie. cleaning and security
- Reporting and documenting information
We are seeking an experienced property manager/building manager with a real estate certificate of registration or willingness to obtain one.
The successful candidate will be solutions focused with strong communication skills, and the ability to negotiate and influence. You must also demonstrate a strong customer focus, computer literacy and a proactive approach to work.
This position will require you to have your own transport. You must have the availability to work on Saturdays (this may not be every week, but is mainly if you are leasing apartments) and be on call after hours.
Candidates must have the right to work in Australia, as well as local, relevant experience.
