We have an opportunity for a legal secretary with 4 to 5 years' experience to join a newly formed team in our Commercial Insurance practice in Sydney.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and collating briefs to Counsel
- Drafting and preparing pleadings
- Liaising with medical experts and Barristers
- Preparing Court documents
- Diary management and making appointments
- General correspondence
- Client reporting
- Billing
This busy team of dynamic lawyers has a mixed practice of construction risk and liability work. Specific experience in this area is not necessary, however strong experience in commercial litigation or Insurance Litigation will assist you to quickly get up to speed.
To successfully secure this role, you will be someone who works efficiently in a team environment and has excellent attention to detail, along with strong planning and organisational skills. A strong customer service ethic and a proactive nature is also essential for this role.
A diploma or certificate course from a secretarial business college, TAFE or other tertiary institution would be advantageous and experience in iManage and Elite would be highly regarded.
