The role;
We have an opportunity in our Sydney office for an experienced, highly organised and dedicated Paralegal to assist and provide a range of legal support and administrative services to lawyers and other legal professionals. You will be supported by a highly skilled and approachable team with opportunities to undertake challenging tasks and expand your current skills.
Duties will include but will not be limited to;
- Liaising with clients, witnesses, debtors, third party insurers, all courts and sheriffs.
- Drafting court documents
- Drafting letters and other correspondence
- Managing files
- Preparing and updating reports
- Lodgements by e-file
- Collating briefs
- Conduct legal research
About you;
Ideally you will have;
- Litigation experience from working in a similar role
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Intermediate with MS Office and other Windows programs
- High level of reliability and adherence to relevant legislation
- Strong eye for detail, self-motivation and desire to learn
Advantageous;
- Knowledge of Insurance litigation
- Experience with practice management software such as Affinity
