Arcadis, the leading Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets is looking for a Law Clerk to join their Sydney based legal team on a permanent or part time basis.

We have a great opportunity for a law clerk to join our Australian in-house legal team. The team operates in a busy environment with tight deadlines and interacts with all areas of the business both regionally and internationally. Typical responsibilities may include but won’t be limited to:

  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts
  • Litigation and claims support
  • Corporate governance and compliance support
  • Adhoc reporting and administration for the team.

You will be required to manage multiple tasks and prioritise those tasks to effectively get the job done. Your contribution will be invaluable in ensuring the team provides high quality in-house legal services to Arcadis.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have a keen interest in commercial law and contract law, specifically within the engineering and construction industry.  Ideally, you will:

  • Be currently in your first or second year of studying a Bachelor of Law (or equivalent);
  • Have completed your Contract Law subject;
  • Have achieved strong academic results in university studies to date; and
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills, an eye for detail as well as word processing and document layout skills.

Flexible working times are available, with the opportunity to vary the number of hours per week as required. The successful candidate will however be required to be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week.
