Clothier Anderson Immigration Lawyers are looking for a lawyer with 1 to 2 years’ experience in this rewarding area of practice. Work will include preparing primary applications, merits review and judicial review in all areas of immigration and refugee law as well as character matters and some criminal law matters arising under the Migration Act 1958.
Clothier Anderson Immigration Lawyers is a specialist immigration and refugee law practice located in Carlton. The partners and other accredited specialist in the practice have a great deal of experience in the area and our team of lawyers and support staff is very friendly and supportive.
The position will include considerable client contact and autonomy but with supervision where required. The work is varied and intellectually stimulating. Candidates should be confident in dealing with clients from non-English speaking backgrounds. High level written and verbal communication skills are essential, as are advanced legal research skills. File and costs management, managing strict deadlines and excellent attention to detail are also critical.
