Working for a high-tech company specialising in solar power station solutions, project business development, investment and EPC and ancillary products globally

Your role will include:

  • Responsibility for all legal affairs mainly in Australia but with support to your European colleagues
  • Project and construction finance, Government funding agreements, transactional, construction and commercial contracts, employment law, intellectual property, legal compliance, environment & real estate
  • Negotiating and drafting distribution and supply agreements, sales, share, purchase, joint venture and shareholders' agreements
  • Negotiating loan & connection agreements, EPC and O&M contracts power purchase agreements
  • Ensuring regulatory reporting and compliance to local regulatory framework
  • Coordinating and supervising other external legal counsels
  • Liaising closely with regulators, Government, finance and industry stakeholders, customers, counter parties and other colleagues

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience gained as a transactional attorney from a top law firm or in-house legal department
  • PR visa or Australian Citizenship
  • Strong transactional and commercial sales contracts experience
  • Ability to negotiate and draft development rights, EPC & O&M agreements and other ancillary agreements
  • Strong academic qualifications including a law degree from a renowned law school or comparable.
  • Licensed to practice law in Commonwealth Countries including Australia
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin would be advantageous
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Proven experience in taking responsibility for contractual management and successful execution.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to work in an international business relations capacity.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% or more of the time
  • Experience in the solar industry / energy / construction field would be advantageous
