Due to ongoing growth, Partners Legal, a division of PWG, has an exciting opportunity for a conveyancer and property paralegal to join our ambitious and innovative team in Melbourne.

About the role

The conveyancer and property paralegal is primarily responsible for performing the tasks that comprise the implementation and ongoing administration of clients’ property strategies.  Working closely with the Senior Associate and Property Lawyer you will be required to do:

·         residential and commercial conveyancing (including electronic conveyancing and off-the-plan transactions);

·         transfers of land and applications for non-dutiable assessments;

·         mortgages and other security documentation;

·         drafting letters and other correspondence to clients, legal research, managing multiple stakeholders and supporting the team generally with their daily activities; and

·         file opening and closing, monthly billing, processing accounts, cheque preparations and general administrative tasks.

Our ideal candidate

We are looking for an experienced conveyancer and property paralegal from a reputable boutique or mid/top-tier firm who:

·         is professional, enthusiastic and great with clients and colleagues; 

·         able to anticipate the needs of the team and take a proactive approach to their work;

·         has outstanding time management skills and attention to detail;

·         thinks outside the square and is constantly looking for better ways of doing things; and

·         has great energy and is highly motivated to achieve growth and meet targets.

The candidate must have:

·         a minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a property paralegal, including Victorian conveyancing;

·         exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritise tasks;

·         excellent client facing skills with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships; and

·         interstate conveyancing experience will be looked upon favourably but is not necessary.
