Joining this large Mid-Tier Australian firm with an excellent reputation in the Employment & Workplace Relations sector (both employee and employer-side), this role sits with the Partner handling employee-side matters.
As an experienced Associate or Senior Associate sitting above several junior Associates, you’ll work autonomously.
The structure of this role is open depending on your level of experience as the Partner prefers to tailor positions around the right Lawyer, rather than force a “one size fits all” approach on the team. You’ll have the opportunity to shape your own position within the group depending on your desire for management/mentorship, handling clients, and leading your own matters.
Issues You’ll Manage:
- Employment Disputes & Contracts.
- Industrial Relations Matters.
- Claims: Terminations, Discriminations & Investigations.
- Enterprise Bargaining.
- Union & Employee Representation.
- Restraint of Trade Issues.
The Firm:
This multi-partner Employment & Workplace Relations team in Melbourne is unique handling the entire scope of employee and employer-side issues. For a Lawyer currently handling Employee-side matters at a smaller firm, this role offers an opportunity to join a large corporate firm working on matters of larger scale.
Alternatively, a Lawyer currently working in an employer-side position who is looking to diversify their experience will find a familiar culture and working style here.
