We represent a major international law firm.

The firm have a growing corporate practice in the Melbourne market and are keen to hire a strong junior Corporate lawyer to bolster the team. 

Corporate

The firm has a strong focus on the energy & infrastructure sectors. The international Corporate group has well over 100 lawyers (and over 35 partners). 

The firm are fully integrated internationally, meaning the Corporate team benefits from some excellent overseas work to supplement its already robust domestic practice. 

Position Description

As a member of a global Corporate team, you will have exposure to blue-chip clients, pre-eminent lawyers and matters from a range of jurisdictions.

You will work closely with a Melbourne-based partner and associate, advising on:

• private M&A
• public M&A and takeovers
• private equity
• cross-border transactions
• joint ventures
• venture capital
• energy & resources (including oil & gas)
• corporate governance

Much of the work is international in focus and you will have the opportunity to work closely with the other Australian offices and the firm's fully integrated international network.

Requirements

You will be a solicitor with at least 1 years' proven experience in corporate matters from a leading practice. 

In addition, you will have:

• An ability to adapt to the working styles of different partners.
• The ability to manage your own workload and balance competing timelines.
• A developing commercial awareness.
• An outstanding academic background.
