In-House Lawyer/ In-House Legal Counsel role within an international provider of financial services products specialising in life insurance. This role will report to the Head of Legal and will deliver broad commercial as well a specific legal advice pertaining to the life insurance business. This organisation is going through an expansion stage within the region with longer term career development opportunities both within legal as well as within the Business. They offer a good work/life balance coupled with a competitive remuneration package.
- Commercial contract review, drafting and negotiation
- Advising on product development including drafting Product Disclosure Statements and Policy Documents
- Advising on product distribution including the financial adviser and direct distribution channels
- Advising on regulatory change and regulatory compliance including the Corporations Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Life Insurance Act and the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act
- Reviewing marketing campaigns across each of the businesses (television, online, print)
- Advising on innovation projects including intellectual property issues
- Working with Regulators including ASIC and APRA
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years post qualification experience within financial services.The ability to work as part of a high performing, collaborative team is essential. This role is not suitable for litigation lawyers.
