Our client is a national law firm with an excellent reputation is seeking an Precedent/Automation Specialist to work with the firm’s practice support lawyers, information technology team and the legal automation specialists in their Brisbane office.
 
About the role
 
Reporting to the Legal Automation Manager, your role is to maintain and administer precedents and automate documents to enable the efficient delivery for the internal stakeholders. 

Your responsibilities will include:
  • automating new and existing precedents;
  • checking and testing automated precedents, software rollouts and upgrades;
  • assisting with the creation and maintenance of workflow solutions;
  • maintaining and creating templates in Microsoft Word; and
  • delivering precedent and Microsoft Office support and training to the firm.
This role can cater for either full-time or part-time position including flexible working arrangements.
 
About you
 
To be successful in this role you will possess prior experience in a similar role with precedent and development, maintenance and automation. 
You will possess:
  • a comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (2010-2016);
  • experience using document automation software e.g. I-Deal Docs or HotDocs (although this is not essential as you will be trained in the use of I-Deal Docs);
  • an interest in developing skills using workflow solutions software e.g. K2;
  • the ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously with minimal supervision;
  • excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to create practical solutions;
  • an exceptional level of attention to detail;
  • the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; and
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
