MIGA is a leading national provider of Indemnity Insurance and associated services to the healthcare profession across Australia. Its head office is in Adelaide and it also has staff based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
A great opportunity exists to join our growing Claims & Legal Services team and make a difference.
As an in-house Solicitor you will be responsible for providing legal advice to clients and managing a portfolio of claims and notified incidents.
MIGA is seeking someone with a Degree in Bachelor of Laws and proven legal experience within a law firm or insurance company specialising in personal injury preferably with exposure to medical indemnity or professional indemnity matters. Experience in public liability and motor vehicle bodily injury will also be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be required to hold and maintain Tier 2 education level as per ASIC PS 146 Licensing: Training of financial product advisors. If the successful candidate does not hold a Tier 2 level, MIGA will assist them in obtaining the qualification.
