An opportunity has become available for a high performing and highly technical restructuring/insolvency litigation lawyer with 3-4 years post admission experience to join our Restructuring team in Melbourne.
Our Restructuring team provides clients with a comprehensive range of professional services including insolvency and restructuring for banks, financial and non-financial institutions, and various leading insolvency practitioners. Globally, the Restructuring team has significant experience advising clients on investigations, enforcement, litigation and asset recovery on a multijurisdictional basis.
Working under the supervision of the Partner and Group Head of the Restructuring practice, you will undertake an interesting and varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious insolvency, restructuring and litigation matters. With support from other highly regarded restructuring and commercial litigators nationally, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and act for a number of leading ASX listed corporate clients, Australian banks, financial institutions and insolvency practitioners.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of three years post admission experience, with a strong understanding of receiverships, enforcement of security and insolvency and/or solid litigation skills with an interest in restructuring. Servicing clients who are predominantly distressed companies, financial institutions, insolvency professionals, corporate creditors and investors, your previous experience gained with a top tier firm will be highly valued.
You will possess strong commercial acumen and exceptional communication skills, enabling you to develop and maintain high quality relationships with clients and colleagues as part of a dynamic team. You will have a mature, confident approach and be highly motivated, thriving in a fast-paced restructuring and financial services litigation environment. Your solid organisation skills, as well as the ability to both manage your own workload and to collaborate with other members of the team will contribute to your success.
