We currently have an opportunity for a Junior Administration Assistant to join our busy Insurance practice in our Sydney office.

The main focus of this role involves setting up the documents from large matters received from our clients on weekly basis, both electronically and in hard copy.  This is an important job as it sets up the administrative side of the files for the lawyers to then work with.

The tasks involved in this role will therefore involve, splitting the matter into sections of documents, identifying the correct title of the document and then saving the documents into the firm’s electronic document management system.

To successfully secure this role you will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • An interest in process driven work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A “can do” approach to your work
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong listening skills and an ability to follow instructions
  • An affinity with using and learning new technology
  • Up to six months experience in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential as guidance will be available to learn what you need to do.

This junior level role is initially a 6 month contract role with the possibility of extension and part time arrangements will also be considered.
