The Firm
This mid-tier, Brisbane CBD based chartered accounting firm provides services in Corporate Finance, SMSF & Business Services, Insolvency and Audit. Their advisors work with SMEs, family businesses, listed entities, professionals, individuals and government. The firm has 145 staff members who work hard, meaning there is rarely any over-time. It has a very strong social culture, hosting regular events such as drinks, sports teams, charity fun runs and even surfing!
The Role
The firm is looking for either an SMSF Intermediate or Senior to join their team. In this position you will focus solely on SMSF accounting.
You will be responsible for:
- Processing of transactions from source documentation into Class Super
- Preparation of annual return and financial statements, as well as associated compliance documents
- Preparation of electronic work paper files
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders
- Assistance with preparation of superannuation advice to clients as required
The Individual
A successful candidate will possess:
- Strong background in SMSF
- A drive for career progression
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Commenced or Completed CA/CPA (or desire to do so)
- Experience using CLASS
