About the Role
We are on the search for an experienced and energetic Claims Officer to join our Insurance Operations department on a contractual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and close-knit team where your expertise will be appreciated and rewarded. As a representative of Eric, you will provide comprehensive support to our customers in their time of need whilst considering team objectives and strategies.
Reporting to the Claims - Team Leader, your key responsibilities include but not be limited to:
- Managing claims from lodgement through to finalisation whilst adhering to business process and procedure
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong relationships
- Negotiating with Third Parties, Third Party Insurers and Third Party representatives to gain best possible outcomes for our customers and our business
- Settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements
- Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Previous claims handling experience or experience in a complex insurance customer service -environment (2+ years highly regarded)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication
- Superb administrative and coordination skills
- Ability to build rapport and provide solutions
- Intermediate level of computer literacy
