Due to ongoing growth this well-known brand in the Australian market is seeking an experienced Motor Claims Specialist to join their team.  Reporting to the Recoveries and Settlements Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex technical claims and settlements with third party insurers.
  
The Role:

• Proactively managing a portfolio of claims to settle the costs of the claim in a timely manner
• Actively resolving liability disputes with third party insurers
• Negotiating liability of a file before accepting demands received
• Instructing external solicitors and settling claims on a commercial basis
• Maximising returns to the company
• Act as a referral point for Claims Consultants regarding complex queries
• Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times

 About you:

• Minimum 3 years’ motor claims experience inc. settlements
• Experienced managing third party liability claims 
• Advanced communication and negotiation skills
• Thorough understanding of Australian Road Rules
• Good understanding of common and civil law
